Creekview Lodge is accessed from the Creekview Road/Broughton Road mini roundabout via a private road, and is set within its own grounds which can be secured by padlocked gates. The building consists of two large halls (Ashwood and Oakwood), a small meeting room (Willow), a well-equipped kitchen, a disabled wc, a men's wc and a female bathroom equipped with four toilets, two showers, wash basins and hand dryers. There is a small car park for approx 8 cars and grounds for erecting four or five tents. There are also four concrete cooking areas. The site is adjacent to Clementsgreen Creek with some excellent walks along the seawall and is a short walk to Compass Gardens with a trim trail, the local 25m swimming pool, and the town centre with a large Asda. It takes approx 50 minutes to get to London Liverpool Street by train, or Wickford to connect to Southend, or in the other direction trains go out to Burnham-on-Crouch and Southminster. There is also a regular bus service to Chelmsford via Danbury. Local attractions include Tropical Wings Zoo and Marsh Farm Country Park and RHS Hyde Hall.
