South Woodham Ferrers District is a very active and thriving District. The various units within the District regularly organise activities and events not only to help develop individual skills and abilities, but also to help raise money for worthwhile causes.
At present much of the fundraising that the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Sections are involved with is towards equipping our new HQ. For more information about this local project please visit our HQ page.
In January 2017 Essex South East Guides held the Jack Petchey Foundation Presentation evening at the Towngate Theatre in Basildon. This year Mia from 4th Guides won an award receiving £200 for activities/equipment for their unit. Congraultions to all of them. The other girls come from other districts within Billericay Division.
Billericay Division's guests for the evening were the Town Mayor of SWF Town Council, Councillor Sam Coley and President of Billericay Division Guides, Mrs Denise Austin.
