Volunteers Urgently Needed
We need to recruit leaders and unit helpers to strengthen our existing teams, to avoid the possibility…
The South Woodham Ferrers District encompasses the town of South Woodham Ferrers in Essex and also the village of Rettendon. It is part of the Billericay Division within the Essex South East county.
The District offers Guiding to girls and young women from 4 to 18 through Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers. From 18-30 there is a new section called Inspire.
Girlguiding is the largest voluntary group for girls and young women in the UK with over 240,000 members, and 10million worldwide. It also offers wonderful opportunities for travel and adventure, learning new skills, personal development and making new friends.
If you would like your daughter's name to be added to our waiting list, please register at www.girlguiding.org.uk/joinus.
We could not carry out our activities without the voluntary support of the women who run the units as Leaders, hold district posts, or who help as non-uniformed Unit Helpers. We welcome younger leaders, young mums, early retirees or anyone who would like to work with children and experience amazing oportunities. So if you're looking for a fun and rewarding hobby, that also looks good on your CV, explore our website to find out more and then register at www.girlguiding.org.uk/get-involved.
Our new HQ was completed in 2015 and we are proud to meet in a lovely, well-equipped building.
We still require funds to maintain and improve our premises so please support us in our fundraising activities and click the link below to use Easyfundraising to help us raise funds.
